Let The Fun Begin
Quick Note Before Bed…
So I realized today that staying up this late (4:30am) is not good for me…I thought I was doing good today, for breakfast I had a thin bagel with peanut butter (though looking back I should have added some dairy and fruits to it…), lunch was sole, vegetables and bread (still no dairy today…) and then along came supper. I went with a few friends to the LCBO (60min walk, some cardio) then we stopped at the Student Centre to get food after…I ended up getting Chinese food :S I tried to make it as healthy as possible so I had mapu tofu, fried noodles and vegetables.
Once we got back, I started to watch tv with my friend and we had some green tea as we did but then it started getting late…at about 130am we were starving so I had some edamame trying to stay healthy and make up for dinner…but then 230 comes around and we’re still hungry so she decides to make us french toast. Luckily thats where it ended but I know that nights like these are cause for my high cholesterol.
Things need to change…and I’m pretty sure I need some sort of help from the people I live with…hmmm decisions…
Anyways…
Here’s to good health
So today was my first day of my new life, and it was…decent.
For the last time I slept in, and I didn’t wake up until 1:30 so that meant no breakfast for me… :( I had a long day ahead as I got to travel three hours by bus, train, subway then bus once again back to my dorm room. But I am happy to be back home. I just fear that being here is going to be hard for me to keep up with my new life because only one of my friends here knows what I am dealing with, though she doesn’t know the full story either…
But right now, off to bed for me…
Here’s to good health.
Today I start a brand new life. I recently had to go to the doctors to get blood work down and when the results came back, I was told I have high cholesterol (6.8 when I should be around 5) so I have decided to change my life.
For most of my life I have been big. And for the first time in awhile I decided to weigh myself, and the results were not what I expected. For the first time in my life, I am over 200lbs and it’s heartbreaking. So between my high cholesterol and new weight, I knew something needed to be done.
To help me with my journey, I have started this blog (which I will be doing weekly weigh-ins and progress posts), I signed up for www.sparkpeople.com to help track my progress, and I have started in a journal to track what I am eating and drinking.
Here’s to good health.
